In a world where a girl randomly takes an Illustration class only to realize that she'd had been doomed since that first day she walked in that door.
SEE HORROR! SEE TERROR! SEE HANNA REALLY MESS UP ON PAINTING HER NOSE!!!
yeah so, I'm using a new technique that I've never really done before called ressessive. That's when you cover your plane with a medium and then wipe away your lights and then go back into the darks.. Well, anywho, I've done this sort of technique with Charcoal but NEVER with oil paints, and i must say I'm really loving this technique. I'd be really excited to see what it would look like with an oil color wash over it once I have my lights and darks down.
So I've gone back into it and brought out some lights and pushed the darks.. BUT the digital camera kept making it very shiney.. some day I guess I'll upload an unshiney picture...
I'm so thrilled to now know what the inside of your nostrils looks like. Nice nostril ridges. Must be good genetics. Anyways, it's a fun technique. You can do it over the top of acrylics, color pencils, you name it.... plus, if you're doing a peice and having troubles harmonizing the colors, throwing a sepia brown oil wash over it, and lifting the highlights out is a great was to establish that unity that you only hear about in 20th century art history classes from a certain Steven Max Meyers.....
hey that's neat! i can see your brain! Actually i think the nose looks fine. It might not be how YOUR nose looks (i dont remember EXACTLY, im not psycho), but i think it looks neat-o.
hell, take the weekend off.
i had that class too! i hated modern art 'til that class. A lot of people told me he was a jerk or something, but i took the class anyway and said 'what? what are you people talking about?!'

WOW!! Hanna..this is...ksdf;hjbsdlfbss;bdifb;sdiubf!!!! Holy Bejesus...I so can't wait until this done!! I'm so jealous of your greatness! I'm so faving this!
I really like the constrast of the darks and lights, very dramatic. The angle you have your face goes great with the expression which I was to say...that is SO you! This has a very mysterious mood with it, like something you would see in a dark ghost story book or something. Keep up the great work!!
hey, if you're up you can see it now that I've worked on it for like three more hours. I'm in the office doing homework.. and what exactly are you doing up at five in the morning?!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
